Who actually created Pokémon?

Question

Following up on the earlier "who invented Pokémon" thread — specifically curious who created Pokémon as in the original concept/idea person versus the companies involved. Is it mainly credited to one person?

Soren · Answer

Pokémon was created by Satoshi Tajiri, with important contributions from Ken Sugimori and the development team at Game Freak. Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures are key companies behind the Pokémon franchise.
