Where to get Cut in Pokémon FireRed?

Question

Same issue on the FireRed side — where do you get Cut in Pokémon FireRed exactly? Trying to figure out if it's tied to story progress or something I might've missed exploring.

Alexander · Answer

You get it from Bill's grandpa in the Cinnabar Island mansion, always forget that until I replay it honestly.

In Pokémon FireRed, you get HM01 Cut from the captain of the S.S. Anne in Vermilion City. After helping him, he gives you Cut. You’ll need the Cascade Badge to use Cut outside battle. I remember getting this pretty early—it’s one of those HMs you’ll use a lot for accessing new areas.
