Weedle — most skippable early-game Pokémon?
Between Caterpie and Weedle, feels like most people just pick whichever one's on the route and move on. Does Weedle's line have literally any advantage over the Caterpie line or are they functionally identical in usefulness?

Weedle is easy to skip because it has limited early moves and weak stats. However, evolving into Beedrill quickly makes it useful during the early game.

Weedle can feel skippable because its early moves and stats are limited. However, evolving it quickly into Beedrill can make it useful for early-game battles in some games.

Yes, Weedle is often one of the most skippable early-game Pokémon, especially in classic Pokémon games. Its stats and early moves are weak, and Kakuna offers little offensive value. However, it evolves into Beedrill at level 10, giving you a fully evolved Pokémon quickly. Beedrill can help early on, but its usefulness often drops later as stronger Pokémon become available

Honestly, Weedle is pretty skippable if you’re looking for a strong early-game Pokémon. It evolves quickly into Beedrill, but its usefulness depends on the game and available alternatives. I’d still give it a try if you like fast Bug-type Pokémon, but it’s not essential for most teams.
