Raticate — actually decent or still just early-game filler?
Curious if Raticate (either Kantonian or the Alolan Dark/Normal form) holds up at all once it evolves, or if Raticate is permanently stuck as a "catch and forget" Pokémon.

Raticate is better than its early-game reputation suggests. Its strong Speed and Attack can make it useful, but it generally struggles to compete with stronger Normal-types later.

Raticate is better than its reputation suggests, especially early in the game. Its usefulness depends on the generation and available moves, but it can provide reliable damage without requiring much investment.

Raticate can be surprisingly useful during early and mid-game thanks to its Speed, Attack, and moves like Hyper Fang. However, its limited bulk and weaker late-game stats make it less reliable against stronger opponents.

Honestly, Raticate is better than people give it credit for, especially in the early game. It has decent Speed and Attack, so it can hit hard and finish off weaker opponents. However, its stats and move options start to feel limited later on. I’d say it’s a solid early-game Pokémon, but not usually something I’d keep on my team for the entire game.
