Pitch Black" card list — is this a real set or am I misremembering a name?

Question

Saw a reference to a "Pitch Black" card list somewhere and can't tell if that's an actual TCG set name, a fan-made project, or if I'm just mixing it up with Black Bolt. Anyone know what this is actually referring to?

Aney · Answer

“Pitch Black” may refer to a card name, theme, or remembered set title. Checking official card databases can help confirm the exact reference.

Yes — “Pitch Black” is a real Pokémon TCG set, so you’re not misremembering the name. It’s part of the Mega Evolution series and was released on July 17, 2026. The English set has 120 cards: 84 main-set cards plus 36 secret/rarity cards.

Soren · Answer

If you mean a Pokémon card set, “Pitch Black” may be a remembered phrase rather than the official expansion name. Checking an official card database or set list can help confirm whether the name belongs to a specific release, card, or special collection.
