Pidgeotto — worth training up or skip straight to catching something else?

Question

Trying to decide if it's worth leveling Pidgeotto up properly or if I should just bench Pidgeotto for a different Flying-type once better options show up on the route.

govind · Answer

Pidgeotto is worth training if you like its evolution line. It evolves into Pidgeot and provides reliable Flying-type utility, but stronger alternatives may be better for competitive or late-game teams.

Vicky · Answer

Pidgeotto is worth training if you need a reliable early-game Flying type, especially since it evolves into Pidgeot. However, stronger alternatives may outperform it later, depending on your game and available Pokémon.
