Mawile: Mega Mawile and Huge Power, is it as scary as it looks?

Question

Mega Mawile with Huge Power has a ridiculous Attack stat for a Pokémon that looks this cute. Do you think Mawile is still dangerous, or has the meta adapted too much to stop it?

Jason · Answer

Mega Mawile is definitely as scary as it looks, mainly because Huge Power effectively doubles its Attack. With that ability and its strong Steel/Fairy typing, it can hit extremely hard, especially with Sucker Punch for priority. I’ve always found it more intimidating once you actually see how much damage it can dish out.

Vicky · Answer

Absolutely! Mega Mawile is terrifying thanks to Huge Power, which doubles its Attack and makes it a powerful physical wallbreaker. Play Rough hits hard, while Sucker Punch helps compensate for its low Speed. Its main weaknesses are Fire- and Ground-type attacks.

Absolutely—Mega Mawile is terrifying because of Huge Power. Its ability doubles its Attack stat, making its already respectable offensive potential extremely dangerous. Combined with its Steel/Fairy typing, it can threaten many opponents with powerful physical attacks.

Alexander · Answer

Honestly yes, that doubled Attack makes it hit way harder than you’d expect from such a cute face. It’s slow and has some bad matchups, so it’s scary but not unbeatable.

Ankit · Answer

Absolutely! Mega Mawile's Huge Power doubles its Attack stat, making it an exceptionally powerful physical attacker. Its Steel/Fairy typing, access to Swords Dance, and priority move Sucker Punch make it especially dangerous. Its main weakness is its low Speed, so faster attackers and strong Fire- and Ground-type moves can threaten it. With the right support, though, Mega Mawile can be devastating.
