Greninja — is Protean/Battle Bond still as strong as people say?

Greninja's ability options make it super flexible but I want to know if it's still considered top-tier or if the meta's shifted away from it. Which ability are people actually running these days?

Greninja’s abilities are still useful, but less dominant than before. Protean now activates once per switch-in, while Battle Bond boosts Attack, Special Attack, and Speed after one KO.
