Gardevoir: Psychic or Fairy, how do you use it?

Question

Gardevoir went from pure Psychic to Psychic/Fairy in Gen 6, and the Fairy typing really changed how it plays. How do you run Gardevoir now, as a special attacker, a Trick Room setter, or Mega Gardevoir with Pixilate?

govind · Answer

Psychic types are strong against Fighting and Poison Pokémon and are weak against Dragon, Dark and Fighting Pokémon.Psychic types are strong against Fighting and Poison Pokémon and weak against Dragon, Dark and Fighting Pokémon. Fairy is generally better as a defense and Psychic is good for special attacks and coverage.

Amelia · Answer

It’s actually both. I use it more as a special attacker, with Moonblast and Psychic as the main moves.

Aney · Answer

I usually prefer Gardevoir’s Fairy-type offense because it threatens Dragon, Fighting, and Dark Pokémon. Psychic moves provide additional coverage, making it a powerful special attacker with the right moveset.
