Fletchinder — best middle stage of the Fire/Flying line?

Question

Fletchinder is one of those Pokémon people rush through on the way to Talonflame, but I always thought the middle stage had a good design. Anyone ever keep a Fletchinder unevolved for a specific reason, or is Talonflame always the goal?

Jason · Answer

I’d say Fletchinder is a pretty solid middle stage! It keeps the Fire/Flying typing and has a nice design that feels like a natural step toward Talonflame. I personally like how it balances the cute look of Fletchling with the more fierce appearance of its final evolution.
